Assassin's Creed: Lineage is the title of the Assassin's Creed short films that are supposed to be broadcasted at the release of Assassin's Creed 2.
The movies will tell the story before Assassin's Creed 2. The series will mainly deal with Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, who is the father of game's main character Ezio. The viewer gets a deep insight into the Assassin's Creed universe and Ubisoft introduces several characters from the game. Due to Assassin's Creed: Lineage the player is supposed to understand the reasons of Ezio in the game.
